We are the 'Yates' family! Both myself and my husband Darren actually met whilst we were managing The Bowd back in late 2014. We worked together for 5 years before leaving the business in 2019, but now we’re back and it belongs to us! A real family affair once again and we're excited to be joined by my son Jimmy, sister Kate and her partner, Kate.

We took the Tenancy in May 2023 and knew we’d face some challenging weeks, not just with recruitment, but with enticing our valued guests and friends back to the Bowd. It's great to see you all again!

We have some fantastic, taste bud tingling specials on our board. Just because we don’t serve our carvery on Mondays or Tuesdays doesn’t mean we don’t have meals to suit all. Our chefs have conjured some absolute delights for you featuring fresh fish, local meats and amazing homemade fayre.
